I’m here. Home away from home in West Palm Beach and it feels so good to be back. Initially I was a little hesitant about returning. The end of the month marks one year since the most surgery. Looking back, I cannot believe how fast time has gone by. So much has happened in the past year and without any of those events, I wouldn’t be where I am. Since arriving I have been able to connect with so many familiar faces and even a few new ones. There is nothing like it 🙂

The verdict is in and my right leg is officially healed, completely. That being said, the rod can finally come out. That I am truly happy about. Where the rod was inserted, on the inside of my ankle, is still causing me frequent pain. Let me give you a better idea of the rod situation…

So now we have to schedule surgery for the removal and possible scar revision on my arms. The biggest obstacle that stands in the way is trying to find someone to come down with me. We don’t want to repeat December’s events. May looks like a promising option. We’ll see what happens 🙂
