Beginning in third grade, I have been open with my journey of living in the face of adversity. People have told me that it isn’t my job to educate. Really? Whose job is it, then? Each and every one of us makes an impact on this world and if sharing my story can open people’s eyes to differences, dwarfism and overcoming challenges, why wouldn’t I talk about it!?

From schools, sports teams, hospitals, medical conferences, the TEDx stage and national television, I am happy and willing to speak anywhere. I also love a good challenge; my best one yet was presenting to and holding the attention of a group of school children ages four to fourteen.

My aim has always been to change the dialogue surrounding those living with skeletal dysplasia, a disability or experiencing the various challenges that life throws at us.
